The Quarrymen - Rosebery Street, 22 June 1957 - Isn't that Paul McCartney in the lower right corner, checking out Lennon's group?
McCartney, according to Barry Miles' Many Years From Now bio of McCartney, was wearing a "white sports jacket" with "metallic threads which made the fabric sparkle. With it he wore very gith black drainpipe trousers." (p.27)
Now, legend has it that McCartney was introduced to Lennon by Ivan Vaughn at the 6 July 1957 Woolton gig. But in this pic, taken at the 22 June 1957 Quarrymen gig, clearly shows McCartney checking out the scene.
McCartney just doesn't recall this gig, I think, or has gotten things confused. But is definitely Paul McCartney in the lower right corner!
